The telemarketer interface is how the telemarketer and the predictive
dialer communicate. A complicated interface requires more skilled telemarketers
and consequently more training is also required. The goal is to choose a predictive
dialer with the simplest interface possible to be most efficiently used by telemarketers.
In an example of training 5 new telemarketers per week, training
time becomes quite valuable. New telemarketers have enough to learn without
having to learn how to operate a predictive dialer. Long training periods result
in large payroll costs for unproductive staff time. If it took only 30 minutes
to train telemarketers with a more complicated operator interface, this example
would cost you 130 unproductive man-hours per year. This represents a tremendous
amount of lost revenue!
It is far more difficult and requires more design work to develop
a system that is fool proof and easy to use, than to develop a system, which
relies on a complex interface. This is a very important issue in choosing which
predictive dialer to integrate into your telemarketing environment!
